Using this platform

By creating an account or using FormHoney you agree to these terms. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

  • Give accurate details when registering, and keep your email address current.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
  • Accounts must belong to a person. Do not share one between several people.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

What you may not do

  • Use a form to collect payment card numbers, passwords, or full financial credentials. The platform is not designed or certified for that.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation, or design a form that misleads people about who is collecting their information or why.
  • Collect personal data unlawfully, or without telling people what you will do with it.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, or use the platform to distribute malware or unlawful material.
  • Attempt to gain access to another account's projects, forms or responses, probe the service for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or disrupt it for others.
  • Automate access in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service.

Your content and your respondents

You keep ownership of the forms you design and the responses you collect. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process and display that content so the service can work.

You are the data controller for the responses your forms collect. That means it is your responsibility to have a lawful basis for collecting the information, to tell respondents what will happen to it, and to answer their requests about their own data. Our privacy policy sets this out in more detail.

Availability

We work to keep FormHoney available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, faults or circumstances beyond our control may cause downtime. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — every form's results can be exported to CSV, Excel, Word or PDF at any time.

Intellectual property

The FormHoney software, its name, design and documentation belong to FormHoney. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the platform itself without our written permission.

Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You may close your account at any time; doing so deletes your projects, forms and the responses held against them, so please export anything you want to keep first. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, or if we are required to by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the platform develops. The date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
